Dorchester Shooting Preserve offers a classic Southern quail hunting experience in coastal Georgia. For nearly 30 years, the property has been carefully managed to create excellent quail habitat and memorable days in the field. Our wild quail population is supplemented seasonally with early-released, fast-flying birds for challenging, natural-style hunts.

A good guide can make all the difference. Our experienced Dorchester guides know the land, the birds and what makes a day of quail hunting truly enjoyable. Hunts are designed for two hunters per guide and hunting buggy, giving you plenty of time in the field without feeling rushed.

Our well-trained bird dogs are a big part of the Dorchester quail hunting experience. Watching the dogs work the fields and find birds adds something special to every hunt, and they’re a source of pride for our team.  Guests are also welcome to bring their own well-trained hunting dogs. Just let us know ahead of your hunt so we can plan accordingly.

Whether you’re an experienced wingshooter or joining us for your first guided quail hunt, Dorchester Shooting Preserve offers the kind of relaxed, traditional Georgia quail hunting experience that keeps guests coming back season after season.

Choose Half or Full-Day Hunt

Half-Day includes 8 quail per hunter.  Full-Day includes 15 quail per hunter.

Additional birds may be harvested for an additional fee.

Please Note:
  • One piece of reflective blaze orange clothing is required.
  • Beretta, Fair, and Fausti gun rentals and ammunition are available through the Dorchester Pro Shop.
  • Georgia hunting regulations now require you to have a license to hunt quail at Dorchester. You may purchase the required Commercial Preserve License at our Pro Shop (valid for 2 years).
  • A 50% Deposit is due to guarantee your reservation.  The balance is due upon departure.
