Our Staff
Great hunting, outstanding southern cuisine, fast flying quail, great dogs, experienced guides…all help to ensure the perfect southern plantation environment — but our staff is what most of our guests appreciate most.
“Fast birds…big coveys…great dogs…but it’s the staff at Dorchester that assures you of an outstanding hunting experience.”

Dave Massey
Dave is in his 15th year at Dorchester, where he serves as General Manager. With years of experience managing ranch and hunting properties in Colorado, Montana and Georgia, Dave brings a wealth of knowledge to Dorchester — along with a genuine love for what he does. Ask what he enjoys most about Dorchester, and his answer is simple: “All of it. I really do.” He loves the people, the hustle, the changing seasons and has especially enjoyed seeing Dorchester grow over the years. “It’s really been a blessing,” he says. Away from Dorchester, Dave enjoys time with his wife and family, especially boating and camping.
Kylie Phillips
Kylie has been part of the Dorchester team for 12 years, working in the front office and helping with everything from reservations to the pro shop. Her favorite part of the job is the people — both the guests she’s gotten to know over the years and the close-knit team she works alongside. Before coming to Dorchester, Kylie worked in retail and has always enjoyed working with people. Outside of work, she loves the coastal lifestyle and spending time on the water with her daughter. An avid boater, one of her favorite places to get away is Ossabaw Island.
Macy Hendley
Macy has been part of Dorchester’s hospitality team for the past year, and what she loves most is that it feels like working with family. She enjoys getting to know the guests, hearing where they’re from and listening to their stories — but especially seeing them relax, enjoy a good meal and have a great time while they’re here. Before coming to Dorchester, Macy worked with children, where taking care of others was also a big part of her day. When she has some time to herself, she loves being outdoors, riding the four-wheeler, and simply enjoying the peace and quiet of nature.
Carrie Walthour Contonio
Carrie has been in the food and beverage industry since 1981, and has been a faithful employee of Dorchester Shooting Preserve for the past 12 years. She prides herself on the love and effort she dedicates to each meal she prepares for Dorchester’s guests. Not only is her fried chicken legendary, but she is truly one of a kind and loved by everyone who knows her. When asked for a recipe, she always says, “I make it with love.”
Bubba Parker
Bubba has been part of the Dorchester family and team for nearly 20 years. He began guiding quail hunts part time while working for the Georgia Department of Transportation, eventually leaving his position there to join Dorchester full time in 2017. An avid outdoorsman, Bubba has a lifelong love of hunting and fishing and genuinely enjoys sharing that passion with Dorchester guests. Over the years, he has built lasting friendships with many of the people who return to Dorchester season after season. For Bubba, being part of Dorchester is more than a career. It’s an opportunity to spend his days doing what he loves, surrounded by the outdoors, family, and people who share many of the same traditions.
Chris Futch
Chris has been hunting and fishing for as long as he can remember, so spending his days outdoors is right where he wants to be. He’s been guiding at Dorchester for seven years and is now in his fourth season as a full-time member of the team. His days include raising Dorchester’s quail, caring for the dogs, guiding hunts, and running fishing charters. Whether he’s in the quail fields or out on the saltwater rivers, Chris enjoys getting to know his guests, sharing his love of the outdoors, and helping them have a great day. He’s proud to be part of what he calls an “amazing place.” Away from Dorchester, family is a big part of Chris’s life. He enjoys spending time with his wife and is especially proud of their daughter, Allie, who is currently working toward her nursing degree.
Charlie Morgan
Charlie has been part of the Dorchester team for seven years and now manages hunting operations. After graduating from Kennesaw State University and working in sales with Coca-Cola, he felt God leading him toward a change — one that ultimately brought him to Dorchester and the outdoors he loves. An avid duck hunter, Charlie experienced quail and pheasant hunting for the first time at Dorchester, and it opened up a whole new world for him. Today, between guiding hunts, working with the guides, caring for the Dorchester dogs, and spending his days outside, he feels fortunate to make a living doing something he truly enjoys. At home, Charlie and his wife have two little boys, and he’s looking forward to sharing his love of the outdoors with them as they grow.
Harry Woolley
Harry Woolley’s love of shooting and bird hunting started when he was just 12 years old, spending time in the field with his grandfather. That early love of the sport has stayed with him ever since. Today, Harry is an instructor at Dorchester, where he enjoys helping shooters of all experience levels become more comfortable and confident. He is an NSCA Level II Certified Instructor, an NRA Certified Range Safety Officer, and is also certified by England’s Association of Professional Shooting Instructors (APSI). Harry teaches the Churchill Shooting Method, a natural approach that helps shooters trust their instincts rather than overthink the shot. Whether he’s working with a first-time shooter or someone with years of experience, Harry wants each lesson to be relaxed, enjoyable, and leave you feeling better about your shooting than when you started.

Along the way, he has earned numerous advanced P.O.S.T. certifications and trained thousands of law enforcement officers at the local, state, and federal levels. At Dorchester, Mark enjoys working with shooters of all experience levels. Whether it’s someone holding a shotgun for the first time or an experienced shooter wanting to improve, his goal is to keep things safe, comfortable, and enjoyable while helping each person become a more confident shooter.
